There are a number of skilled work visas available for Australia. These visas allow workers with specific skills to live and work in the country for a set period of time.
The subclass 491 skilled work regional visa is a provisional visa that allows skilled workers to live and work in a specified regional area in Australia for up to five years. This visa allows you to live and work in any of the designated regional areas of Australia, including the Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia, and New South Wales. You must have an occupation that is on the skilled occupation list and meet the other requirements before you can apply for this visa.
The subclass 190 skilled nominated visa is a permanent residence visa for skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency. This visa allows you to live and work in Australia as a permanent resident. To be eligible for this visa, you must have skills that are on the Australian skilled occupations list. You must also meet the points test and have an occupation that is in demand in the state or territory where you will live.
The subclass 189 skilled independent visa is a permanent residency visa for Australia. It is for skilled workers who are not sponsored by an employer, Family member or state. To be eligible, you must score at least 65 points on the points test. You must also have an occupation that is on the skilled occupation list.
